Well you may have heard about Ruby Ribbon shapewear from a friend or family member…
or you may have seen a Ruby Ribbon consultant sharing a post on Facebook.
Ruby Ribbon bras, shapewear and leggings are their more popular products.
The Ruby Ribbon Demiette seems like it’s promising with no underwire but really what makes them special..?
Is there really anything that sets Ruby Ribbon apart from the competition?
You have probably read negative and positive Ruby Ribbon reviews and not sure which ones to believe.
If you’re curious (or in a hurry):
The Ruby Ribbon line consists of lingerie, fashion and active-wear that supposedly work well at work.
I never really get into what you can earn as that is the last thing you need to think about until your really considering selling this. In general you receive 40% commissions on personal sales. Also getting to the Leader Level, is a 2 month qualification process.
Everybody earns dramatically different with MLM’s. The seasoned pros that jump from one MLM to the next might actually be making some money but the majority promoting it are making around $1000 bucks a year or less.
So you most likely have the potential to make a few hundred a month, if you worked at it hard and sold lots of products.
The problem is this is nothing new or inventive and when you get done selling it to your friends and family you will need to sell it to strangers, and that is a whole different ball game.
If your product doesn’t clearly have better Unique selling position such as:
You will not be able to compete very well with the companies already out there.
An Example could be Camellias brand shapewear has worked for some for a cheaper option but complaints about it ripping seem to be a problem. It could just be from the huge differences from one body to the next, an possibly there is not enough elastic in the mix.
This is similar to the problem with Ruby Ribbon shapewear.
Ruby Ribbon just states that they use Nylon and Spandex but does not show how much.
They put Fabric Content: Nylon & Spandex
It would be nice to know as some would probably want more flex, where others would want more stiffness to avoid bulging.
Spanx makes their shape-wear with 53% spandex and 47% nylon combo… making it much more stretchable.
Many of the reps post Ruby Ribbon before and after shots and they’re not any different from Spanxs but less comfortable.
The right mixture of spandex will make it contour around curves better to shape rather than smash.
Ok what is the value of this and what is the cost to join. Well they offer kits that you need to buy at least on of to become a Ruby Ribbon stylist.
This can be a pretty significant investment for some wanting to sign up underneath you.
This is affordable for most people but they will need a better reason than just being the corporate business Spanxs knock off. How will you actually differentiate yourself to make money?
Down Falls To Wearing Shapewear in General:
Major Pain – It’s a major pain in the butt to pull up and down when using the restroom
VSL- The chance of others seeing the dreaded “visible Spanx line”
Washing Is A Chore – The process of washing shapewear seems really tedious. At least some allow you to Machine Wash Cold but some suggest a good ol fashioned hand wash. After washing you still need to Lay Flat to Dry, Do Not Bleach, Do Not Dry Clean, Do Not Iron. Remember this is for women who supposedly want convenience.
Not For Everyday – Compression garments aren’t necessarily for everyday use. They’re not good when wearing them daily. Various risks like reflux, heartburn and digestive problems can come from frequent shapewear use. Don’t forget that your supposed to just wear Shapewear in moderation or for special events really.
Ride Up And Roll Down – They Ride up or constantly roll down. See my Spanx rollin… they pinchin… see others patrollin’, and tryin’ to catch my Shapewear ridin dirty.
Another downfall to at least building a business around it for yourself is they only focus on Womens clothing and are limiting the customer base significantly. This can work but with all the people selling it already and you cut half the buyers out, you could be having a hard time selling.
All in all Ruby Ribbon is one of the better MLM’s I have seen as this seems like something women don’t probably really enjoy buying at the mall and they don’t possibly want to just order them and then not try them on.
With that being said I’m sure there are many more women who just don’t give a rats ass and buy them in the stores with no shame in their game.
So this goes to show there is really not a huge need to buy shapewear direct from a friend involved in this MLM as you can get shapewear just about anywhere.
Here are the top 4 brands:
So with Ruby Ribbon their prices of body shapewear range anywhere from around $20 bucks all the way to around $130 dollars. Most of the products can be bought is sizes that range from XS-XXXL.
Do they have a refund policy
Well most MLMs like to say they have a return policy and then have tricks to get out of them. This company seems to have a legit 30 days return policy at least with a 60 day exchange policy.
They actually lay out a process to follow and all the info necessary to get a refund.
This is nice as it seems that Ruby Ribbon is going to try to take care of its customers.
Ruby Ribbon is not technically a scam. With that said it’s really not a legitimate opportunity to make very good money either. So while it flies under the scam radar you really want to consider if traveling truck shows selling knock off Spanx for more money is right for you.
The problem with these types of programs is still with the whole recruiting part. If you want to really make money with opportunities like Ruby Ribbon you mainly need to recruit.
So unless you want to create a mini fashion retail store at your house, you may have a hard time selling it. If you just like the product this could be a good way to get products for free, but selling it to others is not necessarily.
Unless you’re ready to set up shop, know how to properly recruit and build a proper down-line i would not waste your time.

You need to use a proven legit system to build a foundation and get you making consistent money online.
Your average day is still probably spent looking at what others are doing and thinking “How can I do that too?” Then no matter how much you learn, you just can’t seem to put it all together.
What I love about this host an education networking platform is they show you how to earn online with affiliate marketing the right way and no more MLM’s or building down lines and scaring your friends and family away.
This all in one training, building and researching platform is the main reason that I no longer feel confused. I feel like a real marketer, and in fact, I now do this full-time. I get online knowing exactly what I need to do every day to step closer to my goals.
I’m no longer hoping to find a push button product to fix my problems but rather learning to market anything online. If you want a change this is the program that helped me, and can do the same for you.
